Dr. Lively suggests that all of the maneuvers of the Trump team in response to the election crisis to date have been a sideshow compared to what is likely to occur on January 6th, agreeing with the growing chorus of pundits predicting that Vice President Pence will use his plenary authority as President of the Senate per Article 2, Section 1, Paragraph 3 of the Constitution, to decline to count the electoral college votes from the seven contested swing states. This would either give Trump the victory on the spot, because he has a majority of electoral votes if those seven states are excluded, OR set the stage for a recount in those seven states, OR adjudication of the vote fraud claims by the Supreme Court (a risky option given their cowardice to date). In the former scenario, Dr. Lively suggests that would be the end of the election fraud conspiracy and the beginning of massive civil unrest on the left, which (in an act of unparalleled gall) would accuse Trump of stealing the election.
