How to send your PC or Laptop screen to your Smart TV

Your TV must have WiFi capabilities
Use a Laptop

Find the key amongst the Function keys that has the 2 side-by-side monitor symbols
Hold the FN key (lower left of the keyboard) down, then tap that Function key.
A panel will slide in from the right.
You'll see options for
  1. PC screen only
  2. 2nd screen only
  3. Duplictate screens (both)
  4. Extended screens
  5. A link: Connect to a wireless display
Use option 4, connect to a wireless display

The first time doing this might ask for permission, but subsequent attempts connect in automatically

At the top of the screen is a mini-tool bar that has a 'Disconnect" option.
There is an option to 'Unpin' that toolbar from the top of the screen, but it will reappear by moving the mouse pointer to the top so you can disconnect later.

You can even use the Extended monitor option once you connect as above, then repeat the FN/Function step as above, then select Extended screens.
Move the mouse pointer all the way to the left and right to see the left/right order of the displays.
Then you can have a browser window on the laptop with an Internet Live or On-demand TV show or movie playing and going on the TV, and at the same time, another window of any program going on the laptop screen.
